NYCC 2008

The con was great (besides, you know, the other people). Learned a lot as a future professional... blah blah blah. I'm not making this journal about that in the least. Whyyyyyy would I, when what I want to talk about is getting to meet Garth mother-fucking Ennis!

That really was the highlight for me. I waited in line for his signing after getting one of the last tickets for the event. I had him sign a The BOYS poster I had signed by Darick Robertson when the first issue was released by Wildstorm. He also signed issue #26 of PREACHER (my favorite cover with Cassidy jumping off of the Empire State building). Truly a nice guy with a sweet smile. :D

Glenn Fabry was there, but of course I missed his signing and couldn't find him. :( Next time!

I don't like to be someone that "idolizes" or gets "star struck," 'cause really, they're only people like me. But PREACHER has been a huge influence in my life and meeting the team that worked on it means the world to me. Hopefully one day I can meet Steve Dillon as well~!

That's my report. Many other cool things happened, but this is DA and to be honest I'm really only here to brag. ;3

I guess I must've missed you there, what day did you go? I went Saturday. I didn't really get any photos or get any autographs, becuase I was just trying to hand out my promo sheets to different companies.

"Signatures are so lame; everybody always chooses some babble from a video game or an anime that makes no sense in any context whatsoever to represent themselves. Only an idiot would make post with a signature. ....Oh wait a second..."
That's awesome! I also don't typically freak out meeting famous folks, but I almost fell apart meeting J. Scott Campbell a few years ago. Glad you guys had a good time!
:D Thanks! How was your time? It was cool seeing you guys there Saturday.
Ohhh, how did it go handing your promos out? I went Saturday but was busy running around trying to avoid the crowds, haha. My main goal was to meet Garth Ennis, but I also got autographs from Rodney Ramos, Amanda Conner, and Jimmy Palmiotti. Good times!
It was great but exhausting. Slept til 3pm today. Weekend FLEW by.
It sure did! I could use one extra day, that's for sure. :/
I am so jealous T______T
